Welcome to my quilting site!

My name is Leah Day and I'm an internet marketer, quilter, pattern maker, and beginning teacher. I enjoy creating all kinds of quilts, from traditional nine patches to very untraditional art quilts. More than anything, I'm always trying to find ways to take an idea and translate it to fabric.

Please check out my gallery of quilts. I've never settled on one particular style or form, but prefer to not lable myself and get stuck in that definition. I mostly use my trusty Bernina sewing machine for piecing and quilting, but occasionally I go on vacation and have to do some work by hand.

I'm not a "big name," or a local legend, or even someone that's won a ribbon at a quilt show yet. I'm just a girl with a good story and a buttload of talent that wants to help people quilt.

I'm just getting into teaching and feel very positive about helping other quilters figure out how to translate their experiences into quilts. Please check out my lectures and workshops to learn more about what I can teach.

Sometimes when you see an image that you love, a landscape that moves you, all you want to do is make it for yourself. I'm working on a line of patterns that you will be able to easily to download and print out. This might still be a few months off, but keep checking back to see when I've gotten more up.
